|Project Start||January 2017|
|Construction Cost||$6.2 million|
|Estimated Completion||Early 2019|

The existing 60 year old Halls River Bridge is being replaced!
The new 57 foot wide bridge will be made of state of the art rust-resistant materials and built in the same location as the current 30 foot wide bridge. The wider bridge will feature a 12 foot travel lane in each direction, eight foot shoulders and five foot sidewalks.
The new bridge is being built in phases. During the first phase of construction all traffic is using one lane of the existing bridge and is being provided alternating access across the bridge with a temporary signal. Half of the existing bridge will be removed. The new eastbound lane and shoulder will be built.
Traffic will then be moved onto the new bridge using the shoulder and a travel lane in a temporary two way configuration while the second half of the new bridge is built.
Construction activities are occurring during day Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.and at night when necessary.
Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the work zone. Travel delays are likely during construction. Access to driveways and side streets are being maintained.
The $6.2 million project is expected to finish in early 2019.
