D.A.B. Constructors, Inc., on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation, is widening approximately 1.5 miles of State Road 52 (Schrader Highway) between CR 581 (Bellamy Brothers Boulevard) and Old Pasco Road from a two lane road to a four lane divided roadway with medians in Pasco County.
Other improvements include installing a new traffic signal at Old Pasco Road, replacing the traffic signal at Bellamy Brothers Boulevard, constructing a 12 foot multi-use path along the north side of the road and a 5 foot sidewalk on the south side.
Most construction activities are taking place during daytime hours.
The $12.6 million project began in late November 2016 and is expected to finish in late 2018.
