FINAL ACCEPTED: OCTOBER 29, 2019

The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, American Lighting and Signalization, LLC. will be making pedestrian safety improvements to US Business 41 (Florida Avenue) between Bird Street and Waters Avenue in Tampa. 

Improvements include:

• installation of a mid-block pedestrian crosswalk on Florida Avenue approximately 500 feet south of Waters Avenue
• removal of all existing free flow right turn movements at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Waters Avenue.  

Construction activities and lane closures will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.

The $ 1.1 million project is expected to finish in the fall of 2019.
