Construction was completed and accepted from the contractor on May 11, 2021.
This project widened SR 50 (Cortez Road) from Lockhart Road to east of Remington Road from four to six lanes. Bike lanes, sidewalk, and highway lighting were also included in the construction.
The median at Remington Road was closed and relocated approximately 200 feet to the west. The new median opening was constructed with a raised concrete curb, restricting left turn movements from adjacent properties.
