About

As of December 9, 2022, all construction activities associated with this project have been completed.

The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, AJ General Construction Services, Inc., will begin making improvements to SR 699 (Gulf Boulevard) from 36th to 131st avenues in Pinellas County.

Construction activities along this stretch of roadway include improving drainage by installing new drainage structures, barnacle removal and cleaning drainage outfall locations. Phase one of construction includes the clearing of existing drainage structures.

During construction, motorists should expect lane closures to occur from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Access to businesses, residents, and emergency vehicles to be maintained. Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist motorists traveling through this area.

Construction activities on this project are expected to be completed by early 2023.

*Construction cost includes original construction contract amount plus approved contract changes. It does not include inspection oversite.
