This design-build project is making pedestrian safety improvements to the existing barrier wall on US 19 from 66th Street North (SR 693) to Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) and from Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) to Whitney Road in Pinellas County.
Crews are installing a concrete wall (opaque visual barrier wall) on top of the existing concrete barrier wall in the median of US 19 to deter pedestrians from crossing this six‐lane divided roadway.
Motorists should anticipate nightly lane closures along this section of US 19 during construction.
The $742,925 project is expected to finish in late 2019.
