Westbound I-4 Ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown Tampa Closing Tuesday Night

Tampa, FL – The westbound I-4 ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West will close from 10 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, to 5 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, weather permitting.

These motorists will have to continue onto the northbound I-275 entrance ramp, proceed toward Exit 46B, turn left onto SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), and continue west to re-enter the interstate using the southbound I-275 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and message boards will be used to assist motorists through this detour. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

This nighttime ramp closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead signage installation work for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
