St. Petersburg, FL - 4th Street to close north of 119th Avenue on Tuesday, July 12, for the removal and replacement of the northbound bridge just south of I-275 on 4th Street.

4th Street motorists will detour around the work zone using Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) to the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.

4th Street will remain closed in this area in both directions until the completion of the 4th Street Bridge Replacement project, which includes removing and replacing both the southbound and northbound existing 4th Street bridges to the south of I-275. 

The project is anticipated to be complete in the spring of 2024.

Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist motorists traveling through this area. Motorists should allow extra travel time during this detour.
