New Traffic Pattern Coming to US 301 and Ayersworth Glen Blvd in Hillsborough Co
Wimauma, FL - During the week of February 19, 2024, motorists should be on alert as a new traffic pattern will modify the median at US 301 and Ayersworth Glen Boulevard in Hillsborough County.
This safety improvement project will install tubular delineators across the intersection to create a bi-directional median. The new median is designed to only allow U-turn and left turn movements from southbound US 301 onto Ayersworth Glen Boulevard and U-turn movements from northbound US 301.
Once complete, all motorists exiting the Ayersworth community will turn right from Ayersworth Glen Boulevard onto northbound US 301. Motorists needing to access southbound US 301 will turn right, continue north on US 301, and either make a U-turn at the next median opening or at the signalized Paseo Al Mar/Balm Road intersection.
This new configuration will improve safety and enhance traffic flow along the US 301 corridor in Hillsborough County. The installation of a new traffic signal at this intersection is currently planned for construction by 2025.
