The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, Hubbard Construction Company, is repaving Main Street/Skinner Boulevard (SR 580) between Alternate US 19 and Pinehurst Road in Pinellas County.
Other improvements include restriping for bike lanes, replacing the existing pedestrian signals at Bass Boulevard and Patricia Avenue and making repairs to drainage gutters, curbs and sidewalks where needed.
Construction activities are taking place during daytime and nighttime hours. Work requiring lane closures including paving will occur at night from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. however temporary daytime lane closures should be expected during sidewalk work. Access to driveways and side streets are being maintained.
Please be advised that some properties may have fencing, plantings, sprinklers and decorative landscape items in the FDOT’s right of way that will need to be removed to avoid damage prior to start of construction. If you have questions as to where the right of way is located, please contact the FDOT Project Administrator at 727-575-8300.
This $2.2 million project began February 25, 2017 and is expected to finish in the fall of 2017, weather permitting.
- There are no lane closures at this time.
