About
The Florida Department of Transportation’s contractor, D.A.B. Constructors, is repaving approximately 2 miles of Gall Boulevard (US 301) between Geiger Road and Kossik Road in Zephyrhills.
Other improvements include updating pedestrian crosswalk signals and replacing sections of sidewalks where needed.
The contractor’s work is not expected to impact the motoring public during the day as work requiring lane closures will be limited to night time hours of 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Because repaving activities will occur over several months, motorists should expect uneven and changing pavement conditions. The old pavement will be removed and replaced with two layers of new asphalt. The first layer will be placed throughout the entire project area, followed by the second layer. During this time, travel lanes may be uneven and caution should be used while travelling through the work zone.
This $4.9 million project begins in June and is expected to finish in early 2017.
