CSX Railroad Closing Alexander Street (SR 39) to the south of Reynolds Street 

Plant City, FL - Beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, the Florida Department of Transportation will close a section of Alexander Street (State Road 39) to the south of Reynolds Street in Plant City for approximately 5 days.

This temporary road closure is necessary for CSX to perform maintenance activities.

All northbound and southbound motorists traveling on Alexander Street will have to detour around the work zone using Reynolds Street, Turkey Creek Road, and Airport Road during this closure.

Electronic message boards and detour signs will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers will not be able to cross the CSX railroad tracks and should anticipate heavier traffic volumes on all nearby roads during this temporary road closure.
