Eastbound Gandy Boulevard ramps onto I-275 to be closed night of September 10th
St. Petersburg – The eastbound Gandy Boulevard (SR 694) entrance ramps onto I-275 are scheduled to be closed between 11 p.m. Thursday, September 10 and 5 a.m. Friday, September 11, weather permitting.
DETOUR onto southbound I-275: Continue east on Gandy Boulevard. Exit to 94th Avenue N / 16th Street N. Turn left onto 94th Avenue N and continue under Gandy Boulevard. Turn left at 16th Street N and use the entrance ramp onto westbound Gandy Boulevard. Continue west and use the loop entrance ramp onto southbound I-275. Detour Map
DETOUR onto northbound I-275: Continue east on Gandy Boulevard. Exit to S Frontage Road. Turn left onto 4th Street N. Turn left onto N Frontage Road. Turn right and go west on Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686). Turn right onto the entrance ramp to northbound I-275. Detour Map

Two I-275 ramps remain CLOSED at the 54th Avenue N interchange
St. Petersburg – As of April 9, 2026, two I-275 interchange ramps are closed for an extended period:
- Southbound I-275 Exit 26 ramp to 54th Avenue N.
- Westbound 54th Avenue N entrance ramp onto southbound I-275.
The ramps are expected to be reopened in early September 2026. Detours for each ramp closure are signed to guide drivers as follows:
- DETOUR for southbound I-275 Exit 26 ramp to 54th Avenue N: Continue south on I-275 past Exit 26 and exit at 38th Avenue N (Exit 25). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and go west on 38th Avenue N, then turn right onto US 19 (34th Street N) and go north to 54th Avenue N. Detour Map
- DETOUR for westbound 54th Avenue N onto southbound I-275: Continue west on 54th Avenue N past the entrance ramp. Turn left at US 19 (34th Street N) and go south. Turn left onto 38th Avenue N and go east to the entrance ramp onto southbound I-275. Detour Map
Drivers are advised to plan some extra time to travel the detour routes.
