Howard Frankland Bridge Shared-Use Path (Pinellas Side) Closing this Week
Beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will temporarily close access to the shared-use path from the Pinellas side of the Howard Frankland Bridge for maintenance.
Pedestrians and cyclists can access the shared-use path from the Hillsborough side of the bridge but will have to make a U-turn before reaching the Pinellas side during this temporary closure.
The FDOT’s contractor is expected to reopen the shared-use path before Saturday, August 8, 2026, weather permitting.
