Northbound I-75 Ramp (Exit 254) to US 301 Closing Nightly

Riverview, FL - Starting on Wednesday, March 26, through Friday, March 28, the northbound I-75 ramp (Exit 254) to US 301 will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorists needing to access US 301 from northbound I-75 will have to exit the interstate using Exit 256, continue toward the Selmon Expressway, and proceed toward Exit 13 onto US 301.   

Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary ramp closures are necessary for ongoing concrete pavement repairs to I-75 from Progress Boulevard to Woodberry Road in Hillsborough County.

SR 60 and SR 589 Ramps Continue Closing Early Morning Hours

Tampa, FL – Temporary closures of eastbound and westbound SR 60 (Memorial Highway) ramp, northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramp, and Spruce Street ramp will occur during early morning hours from 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, March 23 through Thursday, March 27 and Sunday, March 30 through Thursday, April 3, weather permitting.

Eastbound SR 60 motorists needing to access SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) will have to stay right at the fork, continue toward the Spruce Street ramp (Exit 1B), then east onto Spruce Street, turn south onto Westshore Boulevard, turn west onto Kennedy Boulevard, and proceed north toward the SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramps.

Motorists exiting the Tampa International Airport will have to use the Spruce Street ramp (staying right at the fork), continue east on Spruce Street, then turn south onto Westshore Boulevard, turn west onto Kennedy Boulevard, and proceed north toward SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramps.

Motorists traveling westbound on Spruce Street will have to detour around the work zone using Westshore Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard to access SR 60 and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway).

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist vehicles traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform paving operations for the widening of westbound SR 60 near the Tampa International Airport.

Southbound motorists traveling on 14th Street will detour around the work zone by turning left onto Columbus Drive, right onto 21st Street, right onto Palm Avenue, and continue westbound toward Nuccio Parkway. 

Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers. Access to businesses, residents, and emergency vehicles to be maintained.

Eastbound motorists will detour around the work zone by turning right onto Central Avenue, left onto 7th Avenue, left onto Nebraska Avenue, and continue north toward Palm Avenue.

Westbound motorists will detour around the work zone by turning left onto Nebraska Avenue, right onto 7th Avenue, right onto Central Avenue, and continue north toward Palm Avenue.

Electronic message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. Construction activities are expected to finish in 2027.

Tampa, FL – Temporary closures of the southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West (which provides access to Jefferson Street and Ashley Drive) continue to occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 23 through Thursday, March 27, weather permitting.

Southbound motorists will have to detour around the work zone by exiting the interstate using Exit 45B, turning right onto Floribraska Avenue, then turning left onto Tampa Street, and continuing south to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists during these closures. Drivers should remain alert for construction workers and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

15th Street Under I-4 Closing Nightly for Two Weeks

Tampa, FL – Overnight closures of 15th Street under I-4 will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Monday, March 17 through Thursday, March 20 and Sunday, March 23 through Thursday, March 27, weather permitting.

Northbound 15th Street motorists will have to detour around the work zone by turning right onto 13th Avenue, left onto 22nd Street, left onto 17th Avenue, and continue westbound toward 15th Street.  

Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers. Access to businesses, residents, and emergency vehicles to be maintained.

Westbound I-4 to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West) New Traffic Pattern Starting Monday

Tampa, FL – Beginning Monday, January 27, motorists can expect a new traffic pattern for westbound I-4 to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West) in Tampa. The duration of this traffic pattern is anticipated for approximately six months, weather permitting.  

Westbound I-4 motorists will have to merge left toward southbound I-275 and then keep right to access the new entry point to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West). Once drivers enter the ramp, they will have to merge with incoming traffic traveling from the southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A). Traffic needing to exit the ramp onto Ashley Drive should keep left at the fork and proceed onto the Downtown West ramp. Drivers needing to access Jefferson Street will have to stay right on the ramp and proceed toward Downtown East. 

Motorists are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and drive safely while traveling through the work zone.
