  Seffner, FL – A temporary closure of the eastbound I-4 ramp (Exit 10) to Mango Road will occur from 9 p.m., Sunday, April 26, to 5 a.m., Monday, April 27, weather permitting.

  Detour Route: Eastbound I-4 motorists will have to exit the interstate using Exit 14, turn right onto McIntosh Road, turn right onto Hillsborough Avenue (US 92), and continue west on Hillsborough Avenue toward Mango Road.

  Drivers should remain alert for construction workers and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

  This closure is part of the I-4 interchange improvements at Mango Road (Exit 10) in Hillsborough County.

• NOW OPEN: Symmes Road to the east of US 301 in Riverview

  Riverview, FL – Symmes Road, east of US 301, is now open to traffic. During the early morning hours on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, crews reopened the intersection of US 301 and Symmes Road in Riverview, with new concrete travel lanes.  

  Message boards and signage remain in place to assist drivers traveling through the area. Access to businesses, residents, and emergency vehicles are being maintained.

  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is making improvements to the intersection of US 301 and Symmes Road in Hillsborough County. This project is replacing the asphalt pavement with a durable concrete surface, performing minor drainage work, and updating curb ramps and sidewalks to ADA standards.

• Northbound I-275 Entrance Ramps from 4th St North and Ulmerton Road Closing Sunday and Monday Nights

  St. Petersburg, FL – The northbound I-275 entrance ramps onto the Howard Frankland Bridge from 4th Street North and Ulmerton Road and will close nightly on Sunday, April 26 and Monday, April 27, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.  

  During these ramp closures, motorists traveling on 4th Street North or Ulmerton Road will be directed to use Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) to access northbound I-275.  

  Message boards and advanced warning signs will assist drivers traveling through this area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during these detours.

  These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform paving operations as part of the new southbound I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge) project between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

• Intermittent Nighttime Ramp Closures Continue from Tampa Airport and Spruce Street to SR 60 and NB SR 589

  Tampa, FL – Intermittent nighttime ramp closures from Tampa International Airport, Spruce Street, SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) continue from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (4/5-4/9, 4/12-4/16, 4/19-4/23, and 4/26-4/30), weather permitting.

  Motorists exiting Tampa International Airport will use the Spruce Street ramp (stay right at the fork), continue eastbound on Spruce Street, turn right onto Westshore Boulevard, turn right onto Kennedy Boulevard, and proceed north toward SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramps.

  Motorists traveling westbound on Spruce Street will detour around the work zone using Westshore Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard to access SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway).

  During the nighttime ramp closures of eastbound SR 60 to northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway), motorists will have to stay right at the fork, continue toward the Spruce Street ramp (Exit 1B), make a U-turn at the traffic signal (O’Brien Street), and proceed west on Spruce Street toward SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramp.   

  Advanced warning signs and message boards continue to assist vehicles traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution when driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

  These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform final paving operations as part of the widening of westbound SR 60 near the Tampa International Airport.

  Tampa, FL – The northbound I-275 ramp (Exit 39) to SR 60 West/SR 589 North will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, April 12, through Thursday, April 16; Sunday, April 19, through Thursday, April 23; and Sunday, April 26, through Thursday, April 30, weather permitting.

  Motorists needing to access SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) should continue east on Kennedy Boulevard, turn left onto SR 60, and proceed north. Access to eastbound Kennedy Boulevard and Westshore Boulevard will remain open during these temporary ramp closures.

  Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers and equipment.

  These closures are necessary for crews to install sections of temporary barrier wall throughout the project limits of Tampa’s Westshore Interchange (I-275/SR 60) project.
