Westbound I-4 Ramp (Exit 22) to Park Road Closing Monday Night

Plant City, FL – The westbound I-4 ramp (Exit 22) to Park Road will close from 9 p.m. on Monday, October 27, to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, for overnight traffic signal installation work.  

To reach Park Road, westbound I-4 drivers must exit at Exit 21, turn left on Alexander Street, then right on Sam Allen Road, and continue east to Park Road.

Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and drive safely through the work zone.

This project is adding a second left-turn lane to the westbound I-4 ramp to Park Road (Exit 22) in Hillsborough County. Construction activities are expected to be completed during early 2026.

CR 39 Closed to the south of SR 60 in Plant City

At 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, the Florida Department of Transportation’s contractor closed C.R. 39 to the south of S.R. 60 in Plant City.

During the closure, drivers must detour around the work zone using Lithia Pinecrest Road or Highway 37. This section of C.R. 39 is expected to remain closed for approximately 14 days, weather permitting.

CR 39 Closing to the south of SR 60 in Plant City

Plant City, FL – Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, the Florida Department of Transportation’s contractor will close C.R. 39 to the south of S.R. 60 in Plant City. Click to view DETOUR MAP

During the closure, drivers must detour around the work zone using Lithia Pinecrest Road or Highway 37. This section of C.R. 39 is expected to remain closed for approximately 14 days, weather permitting.

Drivers may experience traffic delays and congestion on all nearby roads as crews build the new concrete travel lanes on C.R. 39, just south of S.R. 60. Eastbound/westbound S.R. 60, along with S.R. 39 to the north of the intersection, will remain open to traffic during this phase of construction.

Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and drive safely through the work zone.

This project is resurfacing SR 60 from SR 39 to Clarence Gordon Jr. Road, replacing the asphalt pavement with concrete at the intersection of SR 39, and modifying the median openings on SR 60 to the east and west of SR 39 in Hillsborough County. Construction activities are expected to be completed by the fall of 2026.

Nighttime Ramp Closures Continue from Tampa Airport and Spruce Street to WB SR 60 and NB SR 589

Temporary nighttime ramp closures from Tampa International Airport and Spruce Street to westbound SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) continue from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (10/5-10/9, 10/12-10/16, 10/19-10/23, and 10/26-10/30), weather permitting.

Motorists exiting Tampa International Airport will use the Spruce Street ramp (stay right at the fork), continue eastbound on Spruce Street, turn right onto Westshore Boulevard, turn right onto Kennedy Boulevard, and proceed north toward SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramps.

Motorists traveling westbound on Spruce Street will detour around the work zone using Westshore Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard to access SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway).

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist vehicles traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

Orient Road remains closed to the north of SR 60 (Adamo Drive) through mid-November 2025, weather permitting.

During this road closure, motorists will continue to detour around the work zone using US 301, SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), and US 41 (50th Street).

Message boards and signage are in place assisting drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

This closure is necessary for crews to perform roadway construction and signal work at Orient Road as part of the SR 60 (Adamo Drive) repaving project between US 41 (50th Street) and US 301 in Hillsborough County.

Southbound I-275 Ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West Nightly Closures Continue

The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West (Jefferson Street and Ashley Drive) will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (10/19 – 10/23, 10/26 – 10/30), weather permitting.

Drivers should detour at Exit 46A, turn right on Floribraska Avenue, then left on Tampa Street, and continue south to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be used to assist motorists during these closures. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.

These temporary nighttime ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform construction activities along interstate ramps for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.

Nebraska Ave between Palm Ave and Columbus Dr Closing Nightly

Tampa, FL – Temporary nighttime road closures of Nebraska Avenue between Palm Avenue and Columbus Drive will occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (10/19 – 10/ 23, and 10/26 – 10/30), weather permitting.

Motorists traveling northbound on Nebraska Avenue will have to turn right onto Palm Avenue, left onto Nuccio Parkway, continue north on 15th Street, left onto 21st Avenue, and proceed west toward Nebraska Avenue.

Southbound Nebraska Avenue motorists will have to turn left onto Columbus Drive, right onto Avenida República de Cuba, continue south onto Nuccio Parkway, turn right onto Palm Avenue, and proceed west toward Nebraska Avenue.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists driving through the detour. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers in the area.

These nightly closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead construction on Nebraska Avenue as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. This project is expected to finish in 2027.

Temporary Closure: Elmore Ave from Floribraska Avenue to Columbus Dr

Tampa, FL – Beginning Monday, August 11, the Florida Department of Transportation will close Elmore Avenue from Floribraska Avenue to Columbus Drive for several months. 

Other roadways (Central Avenue and Robles Street) will remain open to provide an alternate route to access Elmore Avenue.  

This road closure is necessary for crews to perform construction activities along the west side of I-275 for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
