Westbound I-4 Ramp to Southbound I-75 Closing Nightly

Tampa, FL – A temporary closure of the westbound I-4 ramp to southbound I-75 will occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday, February 23, through Thursday, February 26, and Sunday, March 1, weather permitting.

Motorists will have to detour around the work zone by continuing west on I-4, exiting the interstate using Exit 7, staying right at the fork, merging onto southbound US 301, re-entering the interstate using the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp, and proceeding toward Exit 9 onto southbound I-75.

Electronic message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary nighttime ramp closures are part of the ongoing concrete pavement repairs to I-75 from Broadway Avenue to SR 582 (Fowler Avenue) in Hillsborough County.

Harney Road Under I-75 Closing Wednesday and Thursday Nights

Tampa, FL – A full road closure of Harney Road under I-75 to occur nightly between US 301 and Williams Road on Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 26, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Message boards and temporary signage will assist motorists traveling through the detour route using US 301 and Williams Road.

Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone. Stay alert for changes in traffic patterns, observe posted speed limits, and always be vigilant for construction workers and equipment moving in the area.

These temporary road closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of the widening of I-75 from the Tampa Bypass Canal to Fowler Avenue in Hillsborough County. Construction activities are expected to finish in 2028.

Nighttime Ramp Closures Continue from Tampa Airport and Spruce Street to WB SR 60 and NB SR 589

 Tampa, FL – Temporary nighttime ramp closures from Tampa International Airport and Spruce Street to westbound SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) continue from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (2/8 – 2/12, 2/15 – 2/19, and 2/22-2/26), weather permitting.

Motorists exiting Tampa International Airport will use the Spruce Street ramp (stay right at the fork), continue eastbound on Spruce Street, turn right onto Westshore Boulevard, turn right onto Kennedy Boulevard, and proceed north toward SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramps.

Motorists traveling westbound on Spruce Street will detour around the work zone using Westshore Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard to access SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway).

Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist vehicles traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform paving operations as part of the widening of westbound SR 60 near the Tampa International Airport.

Northbound I-275 Exit 39 Ramp to SR 60 West and SR 589 North Closing Nightly

 Tampa, FL – The left northbound I-275 Exit 39 ramp bridge to SR 60 West/SR 589 North (Clearwater and Tampa International Airport) will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6, and Sunday, March 8, through Friday, March 13, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling to Tampa International Airport, SR 60 (Memorial Highway), and northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) should take Exit 39 and continue east on West Kennedy Boulevard/SR 60, then turn left at the signalized intersection onto SR 60 northbound and follow signs to Tampa International Airport or SR 589 (Veterans Expressway). The eastbound access to Kennedy Boulevard and Westshore will remain open.

Advanced warning signs and message boards will be placed to assist motorists during these closures. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers and equipment.

These temporary nighttime ramp closures are necessary for crews to install Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) elements, including advanced warning signs and a temporary barrier wall, as part of early construction activities for the Tampa Westshore Interchange (I-275/SR 60) project.

E. FRONTAGE ROAD FROM CENTURY PARK DRIVE TO W. LAUREL STREET WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL MARCH 3, 2026

Starting February 17, 2026, E. Frontage Road from Century Park Drive to W. Laurel Street (located east of SR 60/Memorial Highway) will be closed until March 3, 2026.

Motorists traveling from West Laurel Street will detour around the work zone by traveling south on North O’Brien Street to access businesses near West Cypress Street.

Motorists traveling from Century Park Drive will detour around the work zone by turning south onto East Frontage Road, then continuing east to access West Cypress Street, then north on North O’Brien Street to access West Laurel Street.

This section of E. Frontage Road is closed to allow crews to perform utility relocation and install drainage infrastructure to support future safety and operational improvements at the Tampa Westshore Interchange.

7th Ave between Central Ave and Nebraska Ave Closing Monday

Tampa, FL – Beginning Monday, February 9, through Friday, February 13, motorists should expect a full road closure of 7th Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Central Avenue in Ybor City. This road closure will resume on Sunday, February 15, and remain through the end of February.

Motorists traveling westbound on 7th Avenue will have to detour around the work zone by turning right onto Nebraska Avenue, left onto Palm Avenue, then left onto Central Avenue, and continuing south toward 7th Avenue.

Eastbound 7th Avenue motorists will need to detour around the work zone by turning left onto Central Avenue, right onto Palm Avenue, then right onto Nebraska Avenue, and continuing south toward 7th Avenue.

Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.

This road closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge demolition work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
