I-4 resurfacing from 50th Street (Exit 3) to McIntosh Road (Exit 14) Lane closures: Sunday, July 12 through Thursday, July 16 and Saturday, July 18 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Eastbound I-4 exit to northbound I-75 to be closed Sunday night
Tampa, FL -- Eastbound I-4 Exit 9 to northbound I-75 may be closed between 9 p.m. Sunday, July 12 and 5 a.m. Monday, July 13, weather permitting. [The ramp onto southbound I-75 will be open.] If weather postpones the work, the closure may take place Monday or Tuesday nights (July 13 or 14).
DETOUR: Traffic will continue eastbound and use Exit 10 (CR 579/Mango Road). At the top of the ramp, turn left and cross over I-4. Turn left onto the entrance ramp to westbound I-4. Use westbound I-4 Exit 9 to I-75 and use the right ramp lane onto northbound I-75.
Eastbound SR 60 entrance ramp to northbound I-275 to be closed Sunday night
Tampa, FL -- The eastbound SR 60 entrance ramp onto northbound I-275 will be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday, July 12 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 13, weather permitting.
DETOUR for eastbound SR 60 onto northbound I-275: Traffic will travel past the closed entrance ramp and continue east on Kennedy Boulevard/SR 60 to Lois Avenue. At Lois Avenue, drivers will turn left and go north to the entrance ramp onto northbound I-275.
Northbound I-275 Exit 39 to SR 60 and Kennedy Boulevard to be closed two nights
Tampa, FL -- The northbound I-275 Exit 39 ramp to eastbound and westbound SR 60 and Kennedy Boulevard will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday nights (July 14 and 15), weather permitting. [If needed, the closure could also occur Thursday night, July 16.]
Detour to Westbound SR 60 / Tampa International Airport / Veterans Expressway: Continue past Exit 39 and use Exit 40B. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left and go north on Lois Avenue. After passing under I-275, turn left and use the entrance ramp onto southbound I-275. After entering southbound I-275, use Exit 39 to westbound SR 60.
Detour to Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60): Continue past Exit 39 and use Exit 40B. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and go south on Lois Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60).
Detour to West Shore Boulevard: Continue past Exit 39 and use Exit 40B. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and go south on Lois Avenue to Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60). Turn right and go west to West Shore Boulevard.
Northbound I-75 Northbound Rest Area in southern Hillsborough County is Closed for Reconstruction
The northbound I-75 rest area in southern Hillsborough County (at mile marker 238) is closed to all motorists (including commercial vehicles) for demolition and reconstruction.
Below is information to other northbound I-75 rest areas:
Mile marker 278 in Pasco County (40 miles after the closed facility).
Mile marker 131 in Lee County (107 miles before the closed facility).
Commercial vehicles can also access the Weigh-In-Motion/Comfort Station at mile marker 158 in Charlotte County (80 miles prior to the closed facility).
The Florida Department of Transportation is replacing the existing northbound I-75 rest area at mile marker 238 in Hillsborough County. Improvements include constructing new buildings, parking areas, dog parks, picnic pavilions, roadway and site lighting, and other improvements.
The new rest area is expected to reopen in the spring of 2021.
