Nighttime Ramp Closures Continue from Tampa Airport and Spruce Street to WB SR 60 and NB SR 589

Temporary nighttime ramp closures from Tampa International Airport and Spruce Street to westbound SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and northbound SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) continue from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (1/4–1/8, 1/11-1/15, 1/18-1/22, 1/25-1/29, and 2/1-2/5), weather permitting.

Motorists exiting Tampa International Airport will use the Spruce Street ramp (stay right at the fork), continue eastbound on Spruce Street, turn right onto Westshore Boulevard, turn right onto Kennedy Boulevard, and proceed north toward SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway) ramps.

Motorists traveling westbound on Spruce Street will detour around the work zone using Westshore Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard to access SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and SR 589 (Veterans Expressway).

Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist vehicles traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform paving operations and overhead signs installation work as part of the widening of westbound SR 60 near the Tampa International Airport. For more information on this project, please visit FDOTTampaBay.com.
