7th Ave between Central Ave and Nebraska Ave Closing this Thursday
Tampa, FL – Beginning Thursday, February 5, through Friday, February 13, motorists should expect a full road closure of 7th Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Central Avenue in Ybor City. This road closure will resume on Sunday, February 15, and remain closed through the end of February.
Motorists traveling westbound on 7th Avenue will have to detour around the work zone by turning right onto Nebraska Avenue, left onto Palm Avenue, then left onto Central Avenue, and continuing south toward 7th Avenue.
Eastbound 7th Avenue motorists will need to detour around the work zone by turning left onto Central Avenue, right onto Palm Avenue, then right onto Nebraska Avenue, and continuing south toward 7th Avenue.
Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.
This road closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge demolition work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.

Lane closures (northbound): Sunday, February 1 through Thursday, February 5, nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Southbound I-275 Ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West Continues Closing Nightly
Tampa, FL – The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West (Jefferson Street and Ashley Drive) will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, February 1 through Thursday, February 5, weather permitting.
Drivers should detour at Exit 46A, turn right on Floribraska Avenue, then left on Tampa Street, and continue south on Tampa Street to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.
Advanced warning signs and message boards will be used to assist motorists during these closures. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.
These temporary nighttime ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform construction activities along interstate ramps for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
