Northbound I-75 Northbound Rest Area in southern Hillsborough County is Closed for Reconstruction
The northbound I-75 rest area in southern Hillsborough County (at mile marker 238) is closed to all motorists (including commercial vehicles) for demolition and reconstruction.
Below is information to other northbound I-75 rest areas:
- Mile marker 278 in Pasco County (40 miles after the closed facility).
- Mile marker 131 in Lee County (107 miles before the closed facility).
- Commercial vehicles can also access the Weigh-In-Motion/Comfort Station at mile marker 158 in Charlotte County (80 miles prior to the closed facility).
The Florida Department of Transportation is replacing the existing northbound I-75 rest area at mile marker 238 in Hillsborough County. Improvements include constructing new buildings, parking areas, dog parks, picnic pavilions, roadway and site lighting, and other improvements.
The new rest area is expected to reopen in the spring of 2021.
