SB I-275 Lanes through Downtown Tampa Interchange Closing Sunday Night
Tampa, FL – A temporary closure of the southbound I-275 travel lanes under I-4 will occur from 10 p.m., Sunday, December 7, to 5 a.m., Monday, December 8, weather permitting.
Motorists traveling south on I-275 will have to exit the interstate using Exit 46A, turn right onto Floribraska Avenue, turn left onto Tampa Street, and continue southbound on Tampa Street to re-enter the interstate using the southbound I-275 entrance ramp.
Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.
These temporary interstate lane closures are necessary for crews perform overhead bridge work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.

Nebraska Ave between Palm Ave and Columbus Dr Closing Nightly
Tampa, FL – Temporary road closures of Nebraska Avenue between Palm Avenue and Columbus Drive will occur nightly on Monday, December 1 through Thursday, December 4 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Motorists traveling northbound on Nebraska Avenue will have to turn right onto Palm Avenue, left onto Nuccio Parkway, continue north on 15th Street, left onto 21st Avenue, and proceed west toward Nebraska Avenue.
Southbound Nebraska Avenue motorists will have to turn left onto Columbus Drive, right onto Avenida República de Cuba, continue south onto Nuccio Parkway, turn right onto Palm Avenue, and proceed west toward Nebraska Avenue.
Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist motorists driving through the detours. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers in the area.
These nightly closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead construction on Nebraska Avenue as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. This project is expected to finish during early 2027.

Columbus Drive Closing Daily between Nebraska Avenue and Florida Avenue
Columbus Drive to close daily between Nebraska Avenue and Florida Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Monday, December 1 through Saturday, December 6.
Westbound drivers should detour right onto Nebraska Avenue, left onto Floribraska Avenue, and then left onto Tampa Street to reach Columbus Drive.
Eastbound drivers should detour left onto Florida Avenue, right onto Floribraska Avenue, and then right onto Nebraska Avenue to reach Columbus Drive.
Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers and pedestrians.

Tampa, FL – The southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45A) to Downtown East-West (Jefferson Street and Ashley Drive) will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, December 1 through Thursday, December 4, weather permitting.
Drivers should detour at Exit 46A, turn right on Floribraska Avenue, then left on Tampa Street, and continue south to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.
Advanced warning signs and message boards will be used to assist motorists during these closures. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.

Tampa, FL - A temporary closure of the southbound I-275 ramp (Exit 45B) to eastbound I-4 will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, December 1 through Thursday, December 4.
Motorists will have to detour around the work zone by continuing south on I-275, exiting the interstate using Exit 45A (Jefferson Street), keeping right at the fork toward Downtown East, turning left onto Scott Street, and re-entering the interstate using the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.
Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist motorists traveling through the detour. Drivers should remain alert for construction workers and pedestrians in the area.
This ramp closure is necessary for crews to install temporary lighting for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.

Motorists will have to detour around the work zone using Nebraska Avenue, Columbus Drive, and Central Avenue.

7th Ave between Central Ave and Nebraska Ave Closing through December
Tampa, FL – Continuing Friday, November 14, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation has closed 7th Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Central Avenue through end of December.
Motorists traveling westbound on 7th Avenue will need to detour around the work zone by turning right onto Nebraska Avenue, left onto Palm Avenue, left onto Central Avenue, and continuing south toward 7th Avenue.
Eastbound 7th Avenue motorists will need to detour around the work zone by turning left onto Central Avenue, right onto Palm Avenue, right onto Nebraska Avenue, and continuing south toward 7th Avenue.
Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.
This road closure is necessary for crews to perform drainage installation work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. Construction activities are scheduled to finish early 2027.
