Westbound I-4 Travel Lanes through Downtown Tampa Interchange Closing Monday Night
Tampa, FL – A temporary nighttime closure of all westbound I-4 travel lanes through the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-4/I-275) will occur from 11:59 p.m., Monday, March 30, to 5 am, Tuesday, March 31, weather permitting.
Westbound I-4 drivers must exit using the Selmon Connector and continue onto the Selmon Expressway. To reach I-275 south, take Exit 8 toward Kennedy Boulevard, turn right on Ashley Drive, and follow signs to southbound I-275. For I-275 north, stay on Kennedy Boulevard, turn right on Jefferson Street, continue onto Orange Avenue, and follow signs to northbound I-275.
Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
This temporary interstate closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead sign structure installation work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
