About

All construction activities associated with this project were completed on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

The Water Works Sidewalk Gap project enhanced multi-modal connectivity by eliminating sidewalk gaps within the Tampa Heights district along I-275 near Water Works Park.

A sidewalk connection was added from the west side of Tampa Street (just north of Kay Street) and runs adjacent to the barrier wall along the north side of the I-275 exit ramp connecting to Doyle Carlton Drive. In addition, two pedestrian crosswalks were installed across Doyle Carlton Drive to the north and south of I-275, and an asphalt speed table was added to Doyle Carlton Drive south of the Water Works Park.
