All construction activities associated with this project were completed on April 28, 2025.
This project made safety improvements by installing crosswalks at three separate intersections in Hillsborough and Hernando counties.
Improvements took place at the following locations:
- SR 583 (56th Street) at the entrance to East Lake Mall (Net Park) in Tampa
- (SR 583 (56th Street) at Temple Heights Road in Tampa
- SR 50 (Cortez Boulevard) at Deltona Boulevard in Spring Hill
As part of the improvements the following construction activities occurred as part of this project:
- Installed pedestrian signals
- Installed crosswalk striping and ADA compliant ramps
- Reconfigured median
- Installed highway lighting
- Replaced pavement markings.
