This project will install an overhead flashing beacon at Harney Road, and full traffic signals at Stacy Road and McIntosh Road in the Thonotosassa area of Hillsborough County.

In addition, the improvements at Stacy Road and McIntosh Road will include signalized pedestrian crossings and intersection lighting. The old Fort King Trail crossing to John B. Sargeant Sr. Memorial Park will be realigned to cross at the Stacy Road traffic signal.

Construction activities will take place during daytime and nighttime hours. Work requiring lane closures will occur at night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.  

Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers. 

Construction is currently anticipated to begin during spring 2024.
