This project will add one general use lane in each direction to I-275 ​from north of Hillsborough Avenue to south of Bearss Avenue in Hillsborough County. 

Other improvements include widening the outside shoulders to accommodate transit, constructing noise barrier walls, installing new LED lighting, completing aesthetic and pedestrian upgrades. 

Improvements will be completed within the existing right-of-way and will tie into the interstate improvements to the south that are currently in construction​. 

The project is currently in the design phase.  Construction is not funded at this time.
