As of March 11, 2025, all construction activities associated with this project have been completed.  

The Florida Department of Transportation's Design-Build Firm, Cone & Graham, Inc., is making roadway improvements to two intersections in Hillsborough County:  

- US 92 (E Hillsborough Avenue at N 47th Street
- US 41 (N Nebraska Avenue) at E 124th Avenue 

Elements of work shall include but are not limited to roadway milling and resurfacing with a high surface friction treatment. These improvements will protect against skidding and provide a safe travel path for vehicles.

Construction activities are expected to be complete in summer 2025.

What is design-build? Design-build is a method of project delivery in which one entity - the design-build team - works under a single contract with the FDOT (or any owner) to fully design and construct a project.  The contract work covers from initial design through construction completion.  This contract type typically allows for faster construction of a project as design and construction can be on-going simultaneously.
