About
The SR 583 (56th/50th Street) Corridor Study was performed to evaluate possible changes to improve safety, operations, and connectivity along the corridor. The SR 583 corridor from Sligh Avenue to Busch Boulevard/Bullard Parkway was identified by the Hillsborough TPO as a Vision Zero corridor, meaning it was identified as a corridor with a high number of severe crashes leading to fatalities and incapacitating injuries. A primary focus of this corridor study was to identify safety solutions and countermeasures to improve the safety for all users.
