The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the existing pavement through milling and resurfacing along this section of United States (U.S.) 98 in Hernando County. 

In addition to resurfacing, the project also includes repairing existing sidewalks, ADA facility upgrades, minor drainage improvements, lighting improvements, upgrading signing and pavement markings, and signalization improvements.

Construction is currently anticipated to begin in Summer 2027.
