About
The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the existing pavement through milling and resurfacing along this section of US 98 in Hernando County.
In addition to resurfacing, the project also includes repairing existing sidewalks, ADA facility upgrades, minor drainage improvements, lighting improvements, upgrading signing and pavement markings, and signalization improvements.
Construction is currently anticipated to begin in Summer 2027.

Upcoming Public Meeting
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven, will host an access modification public meeting for this project on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sheriff Substation/Brooksville Community Center, 601 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Brooksville, FL 34601.
Attendees will receive project information, view project displays, and have the opportunity to submit comments and speak with the project team.
