This project will widen Interstate 4 (I-4) along the median to add one buffer-separated express lane in each direction. The I-4 bridges over McIntosh Road, Branch Forbes Road, Thonotosassa Road, Alexander Street, Paul Buckman Hwy/Wheeler Street, Park Road and Charlie Taylor Road will also be widened. 

In addition to widening, the project also includes retaining walls, noise barriers and tolling equipment.

Other improvements include signing and pavement markings and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Construction is currently anticipated to begin in 2028.
