About
The purpose of this project is to improve safety and traffic operations along State Road (S.R.) 39 (Alexander Street) near S.R. 574 (Reynolds Street). Planned improvements on S.R. 39 (Alexander Street) include:
- Extending the existing northbound left-turn lane at S.R. 574 (Reynolds Street) and the southbound left-turn lane at Nosleda Street.
- Closing the eastbound left turn from Lowry Avenue to northbound S.R. 39 (Alexander Street); all other turning movements at this intersection will remain.
- Restricting all left-turn movements to and from S.R. 39 (Alexander Street), as well as side-street through movements across S.R. 39 (Alexander Street) at Granfield Avenue.
These median modifications are expected to reduce conflict points, enhance overall safety, and improve traffic operations along the corridor.
