About

Two construction projects 416732-3 & 416732-4  have been combined into a single construction project. This page will serve as the source of information for the entire construction effort.

This project will widen SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) from four to six lanes between Windmere Rd./Bronson Blvd. and US 98 (McKethan Rd.).

Between US 98 (McKethan Rd.) and US 301 (Treiman Blvd.) in Ridge Manor the existing two lane road will be widened to a four lane divided road with medians.

The current roadway between US 98 and US 301 will become the westbound lanes and new eastbound lanes will be built approximately 64 feet south of the existing roadway.

This project will also include improvements to pedestrian features, median openings, turn lanes and intersections.

Improvements on US 301 north and south of SR 50 are also included in this project..

This project is expected to finish in spring of 2024.

LOCAL ROAD CLOSURE / DETOUR

Beginning January 25, 2021, Olancha Road will be closed at the SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) intersection. No traffic will be able to access SR 50 to/from Olancha Road, but SR 50 will remain open and Olancha Road will be open north of the closure area. This closure is expected to remain in place through approximately March 2021. The closure will be used to build concrete roadway on the north side of SR 50.

DETOUR: Traffic will be detoured around the closed end of Olancha Road using SR 50, Ridge Manor Boulevard, and Olancha Road.
