Two construction projects 416732-3 & 416732-4 have been combined into a single construction project. This page will serve as the source of information for the entire construction effort.
This project will widen SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) from four to six lanes between Windmere Rd./Bronson Blvd. and US 98 (McKethan Rd.).
Between US 98 (McKethan Rd.) and US 301 (Treiman Blvd.) in Ridge Manor the existing two lane road will be widened to a four lane divided road with medians.
The current roadway between US 98 and US 301 will become the westbound lanes and new eastbound lanes will be built approximately 64 feet south of the existing roadway.
This project will also include improvements to pedestrian features, median openings, turn lanes and intersections.
Improvements on US 301 north and south of SR 50 are also included in this project..
This project is expected to finish in spring of 2024.
LOCAL ROAD REOPENED
Olancha Road has been reopened (on April 5, 2021) at the SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) intersection. Access to / from Olancha Road and SR 50 had been closed since January 25, 2021 to build concrete roadway on the north side of SR 50.
US 301 (Treiman Boulevard) from Dogwood Drive to Ridge Manor Boulevard
Lane closures: Monday, September 20 through Saturday, September 25 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) from Windmere Road/Bronson Boulevard to Kettering Road
Lane closures: Monday, September 20 through Saturday, September 25 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) from Kettering Road to east of US 301 (Treiman Blvd.)
Lane closures: Monday, September 20 through Saturday, September 25 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
