All construction activities associated with this project were completed on Monday, November 6, 2023.

The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc., made improvements to SR 39 (Paul Buchman Highway) from north of Knights Griffin Road to the south of Pasco County Line Road in Hillsborough County. 

Construction activities along this six-mile stretch of roadway included the removal the old asphalt pavement, resurfacing, and restriping both travel lanes and shoulders, and installing drainage pipes.  In addition, left-turn lanes were added to SR 39 at Hunter Road along with extending the northbound left-turn lane from SR 39 onto westbound Bruton Road.

The $11.3 million project finished on November 6, 2023.
