As of January 19, 2023, this project has been final accepted from the contractor.

This project installed a new traffic signal at the intersection of US 19 and Hexam Road / Chicago Avenue in Hernando County. 

Other improvements included a new connection to northbound US 19 from Nicasio Road at Meadow Wren Avenue (opened January 5, 2023), pedestrian signals to cross all roads in the intersection, and pavement resurfacing.

The new traffic signals became operational December 19, 2022.

Nicasio Road access to and from Hexam Road was permanently closed on April 6, 2022.
