ACTIVE STATE OF EMERGENCY

As Florida continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is also actively monitoring Hurricane Milton.

Interstate lane closures and operations on active construction projects within the projected path of the storm have been suspended.

Contractors on these construction projects are currently securing work sites, clearing traffic control devices
that are not actively being used to direct traffic, and checking drainage systems.

About

This project will make routine repairs to the US 92 (Hillsborough Avenue) bridge just west of Florida Avenue in Tampa.  

Construction activities will take place during daytime and nighttime hours. Work requiring lane closures will occur at night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.  

Access to driveways, sidewalks, and side streets are being maintained.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers. 

Construction activities are expected to finish late 2024.
