All construction activities associated with this project were completed on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The Florida Department of Transportation's contractor, Traffic Control Devices, Inc., made safety improvements to the intersection of US 41 (21st Street/22nd Street) at Selmon Expressway in Tampa.
Improvements included:
- addition of new traffic signals
- construction of new mid-block pedestrian crosswalks with raised traffic separators and pedestrian refuges
- installation of signage and necessary pavement markings
