All construction activities associated with this project were completed on Friday, March 7, 2025.
The Florida Department of Transportation made traffic operations and safety improvements to the intersection of SR 616 (Boy Scout Boulevard) at Manhattan Avenue in Tampa.
Project improvements:
- Added new traffic signals to the intersection.
- Added pedestrian crosswalks on all sides of the intersection with raised traffic separators.
- Converted the mall driveway from a right-turn-only exit to a full-access intersection.
- Extended the westbound left-turn lane from Boy Scout Boulevard onto southbound Manhattan Avenue.
- Added signage and necessary pavement markings.
- Provided traffic signal control capabilities to the nearby City of Tampa Fire Station for emergency usage.
