Palm Avenue between Central Avenue and Nebraska Avenue Nightly Closures Continue

Tampa, FL – Temporary road closures of Palm Avenue between Central Avenue and Nebraska Avenue will continue nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday (September 28 - October 2, October 5 - October 9, and October 12 - October 16), weather permitting.

Motorists will have to detour around the work zone using Nebraska Avenue, Columbus Drive, and Central Avenue.

Electronic message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.

These closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge deck placement for the safety and operational improvements project of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4). Construction activities are expected to be completed by 2027.
