7th Ave between Central Ave and Nebraska Ave Temporarily Closed

Tampa, FL – 7th Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Central Avenue remains closed through end of September 2025, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling westbound on 7th Avenue are being detoured around the work zone by turning right onto Nebraska Avenue, then left onto Palm Avenue, and finally left onto Central Avenue, continuing south toward 7th Avenue.

Eastbound 7th Avenue motorists are detouring around the work zone by turning left onto Central Avenue, then right onto Palm Avenue, and finally right onto Nebraska Avenue, continuing south toward 7th Avenue.

Electronic message boards and signage are in place to assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.

This road closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. Construction activities are scheduled to finish in 2027.
