Columbus Drive between Nebraska Avenue and Florida Avenue Closing this Weekend
Tampa, FL – Columbus Drive closing this weekend between Nebraska Avenue and Florida Avenue from 8 p.m., Friday, June 5, to 5 a.m., Monday, June 8, weather permitting.  

Westbound drivers should detour right onto Nebraska Avenue, left onto Floribraska Avenue, and then left onto Tampa Street to reach Columbus Drive. 

Eastbound drivers should detour left onto Florida Avenue, right onto Floribraska Avenue, and then right onto Nebraska Avenue to reach Columbus Drive.

Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers and pedestrians.

This weekend closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. Construction activities are expected to be completed during spring 2027.
