Interstate Ramps to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West) Closing Nightly

Tampa, FL – Temporary closures of the southbound I-275 ramp and the westbound I-4 ramp to Exit 45A (Downtown East-West) will occur nightly on Wednesday, October 21 through Friday, October 23, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling southbound on I-275 needing to access Downtown East-West will have to exit the interstate using Exit 46A, turn right onto Floribraska Avenue, turn left onto Tampa Street, and continue south to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.

Westbound I-4 motorists will have to proceed onto the northbound I-275 entrance ramp, exit the interstate using Exit 46B, turn left onto SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), turn left onto Tampa Street, and continue south to access Scott Street, Laurel Street, and Cass Street.

Advanced warning signs and message boards will be in place to assist motorists during these nighttime ramp closures. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.

These ramp closures are necessary for crews to perform construction activities as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. For more information on this project, please visit FDOT Tampa Bay.
