Orient Road Closing north of SR 60 (Adamo Drive) through mid-November

Beginning Sunday, August 24, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation’s contractor will close Orient Road to the north of SR 60 (Adamo Drive) in Tampa. This road is expected to reopen by mid-November 2025, weather permitting.

During this temporary road closure, motorists will have to detour around the work zone using US 301, SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), and US 41 (50th Street).

Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

This closure is necessary for crews to perform drainage work across Orient Road as part of the SR 60 (Adamo Drive) repaving project between US 41 (50th Street) and US 301 in Hillsborough County.
