Palm Avenue between Central Avenue and Nebraska Avenue Closing Tonight

Tampa, FL – Temporary road closure of Palm Avenue between Central Avenue and Nebraska Avenue will occur tonight from 9 p.m., Thursday, June 11, to 5 a.m., Friday, June 12, weather permitting.

Motorists will have to detour around the work zone using Nebraska Avenue, 7th Avenue, and Central Avenue.

Message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers and pedestrians.

This closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) project. Construction activities are expected to finish in spring 2027.
