Repaving project has begun in Wesley Chapel

Construction is underway on the SR 56 and Bruce B. Downs resurfacing project.

The project will preserve and extend the life of the existing pavement through milling and resurfacing on two state roadways in these areas:

• SR 56 from just west of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (CR 581) to Meadow Point Boulevard (3.8 miles)
• CR 581 (Bruce B. Downs Boulevard) from SR 56 to just south of CR 54 / Wesley Chapel Blvd. (3.5 miles)

The first nightly lane closures are planned as follows, weather permitting:

Bruce B Downs Blvd (CR 581) from SR 56 to south of Chancey Road / Mystic Oak Boulevard     
Lane closures: Tuesday, August 25 through Thursday, August 27 nights from 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
