SB I-275 Lanes through Downtown Tampa Interchange Closing Thursday Night

Tampa, FL – A temporary closure of the southbound I-275 travel lanes under I-4 will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, December 21 and Monday, December 22, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling south on I-275 will have to exit the interstate using Exit 46A, turn right onto Floribraska Avenue, turn left onto Tampa Street, and re-enter the interstate using the southbound I-275 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and message boards will assist motorists traveling through the detour. Drivers should remain alert for construction workers and pedestrians in the area.

These temporary interstate lane closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
