Southbound I-275 from Floribraska Avenue to I-4 Interchange Closing Sunday Night

Tampa, FL – All motorists traveling southbound on I-275 must detour off the interstate using Floribraska Avenue (Exit 46A) from 10 p.m. Sunday, November 1, to 5 a.m. Monday, November 2, weather permitting.

During this detour, southbound motorists will exit I-275 using Exit 46A, turn right onto Floribraska Avenue, turn left onto Tampa Street, and re-enter the interstate using the southbound I-275 entrance ramp. Southbound motorists needing to access eastbound I-4 will follow the same route, use Tampa Street, turn left onto Scott Street, and re-enter the interstate via the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.

This temporary closure is necessary for crews to remove equipment from the work zone for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.
