Tyrone Blvd Lane Closures Planned for 10 Days
Tyrone Blvd Lane Closures Planned for 10 Days
St. Petersburg, FL - Beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday, February 20, lane closures will be in place in both directions around the clock on Tyrone Boulevard (Alt. US 19) from 73rd Street N to 68th Street N for approximately ten days, weather permitting. One lane will remain open in each direction.
These closures are necessary for crews to perform paving operations and guardrail installation as part of the Alt. US 19 (Tyrone Boulevard) pavement rehabilitation project from 5th Avenue to Park Street in Pinellas County.
Electronic message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time as traffic delays may occur on nearby roads during these temporary lane closures. Access to businesses, residents, and emergency vehicles is being maintained.
This project is replacing concrete pavement slabs along Tyrone Boulevard (Alt US 19) from 5th Avenue N to Park Street N in St. Petersburg. Construction activities are anticipated to finish during the summer of 2026.
