Westbound I-4 Ramp to Southbound I-275 Closing Monday and Tuesday Nights

 

Tampa, FL – Temporary closures of the westbound I-4 ramp to southbound I-275 to occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3, weather permitting.

 

Motorists will have to detour around the work zone by continuing onto the northbound I-275 entrance ramp, proceed toward Exit 46B, turn west onto SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), turn south onto Tampa Street, and continue south to re-enter the interstate using the southbound I-275 entrance ramp.

 

Message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

 

These temporary ramp closures are necessary as crews perform overhead bridge work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. This project is expected to finish in 2027.
