The purpose of this project is to preserve and extend the life of the existing pavement through milling and resurfacing along this section of State Road 52 in Pasco County. 

In addition to resurfacing, the project also includes minor drainage improvements, ADA facility upgrades, as well as general corridor safety modification work.

Other improvements include intersection lighting and intersection upgrades, signing and pavement markings, and a traffic signal warrant analysis at the SR 52/Shadow Ridge Blvd. intersection.

Construction is currently anticipated to begin in 2026.

UPCOMING PUBLIC MEETING:

The Florida Department of Transportation invites you to attend and participate in a public meeting regarding the proposed median modifications part of the resurfacing project for SR 52 from east of Hicks Road to west of Moon Lake Road in Pasco County, Florida. The public meeting will be held in person on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hudson Regional Library, Meeting Room, at 8012 Library Road, Hudson, FL 34667. 

For those unable to attend the public meeting in-person, meeting materials and the pre-recorded presentation will be posted to the project website on August 14, 2025.
