About

This project will construct a shared-use path along the west side of SR 687 (4th Street North) from SR 694 (Gandy Boulevard) to I-275 in St. Petersburg.

The proposed shared-use path is designed to accommodate a range of non-motorized users, including pedestrians and bicyclists. By providing a facility that is physically separated from vehicular traffic, the project enhances safety for users while promoting alternative modes of transportation. The improvement supports a shift from automobile travel to walking and bicycling, helping to reduce roadway congestion and encourage more walkable, connected communities.

Construction is anticipated to be complete late 2026.
