This project will repave SR 686 (East Bay Drive) from east of the Highland Avenue intersection to west of the Belcher Road intersection in Pinellas County.

Safety modifications, separated bicycle lanes, improved ADA facilities, minor drainage modifications, signalization, signage and pavement markings, and lighting improvements are also included as part of this project.

The project is currently in the design phase.

Construction activities are anticipated to begin in 2026.

Upcoming Public Meeting

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven, invites you to attend and participate in a public meeting to review proposed access management changes for the repaving of SR 686 (East Bay Drive) from east of Highland Avenue to west of Belcher Road in Pinellas County, Florida. The public meeting will be held in person on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Largo Community Center (Conference Room D) at 400 Alt Keene Road, Largo, FL 33771. Attendees will receive project information, view project displays, and have the opportunity to submit comments and speak with the project team.

For those unable to attend in person, meeting materials and the pre-recorded presentation will be posted on the project website on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
