This project will widen the intersection and approaching lanes at Alt US 19 and Curlew Road (SR 586) in Pinellas County. A left turn lane will be added on Curlew Road at Alt US 19, as well as a pedestrian crossing on Alt US 19 at Tradewinds Drive. Existing traffic signals and drainage will also be replaced at the Alt US 19/Curlew Road intersection.

This project is currently in the design phase. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.

PUBLIC MEETING
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven, invites you to attend and participate in a public meeting regarding the proposed median modification on Alternate US 19 just south of Curlew Road/Causeway Boulevard in Pinellas County, Florida. The public meeting will be held in person Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hampton Inn Dunedin, located at 2641 Michael Place, Dunedin, FL 34698. Attendees will review proposed median modification displays and have the opportunity to submit comments and speak with the project team. 

For those unable to attend in-person, the public meeting presentation will be available to view here on the project's webpage beginning August 1, 2024.
