Alt US 19 Widening and Repaving at SR 586 (Curlew Road) 448486-1-52-01
Project Details
About
The purpose of this project is to extend the life of the existing pavement through resurfacing and improve drainage along this section of Alternate US 19 (Bayshore Blvd) in Pinellas County.
Additionally, this project will widen the intersection of Alternate US 19 (Bayshore Blvd) and SR 586 (Curlew Road). Travel lanes will be added to result in two lanes in all directions through the intersection, along with a second westbound turn lane on SR 586. New traffic signals will also be installed at the Alternate US 19 and SR 586 intersection.
Safety Improvements:
- A pedestrian crossing will be added at Alternate US 19 and Tradewinds Drive, complete with overhead signals.
- Sidewalks and bicycle lanes will be extended and improved throughout the project area.
- Bus stops will be enhanced, and a new bus bay will be added.
