As of November 20, 2025, all construction activities associated with this project have been completed. 

The Florida Department of Transportation's Design-Build Firm, Cone & Graham, Inc., added a new traffic signal at ALT US 19 (Pinellas Avenue) at Anclote Road/Coquina Drive in Pinellas County. 

Other safety and operational improvements included road resurfacing, and pedestrian and lighting improvements. 

Construction activities completed in late 2025.

What is design-build? Design-build is a method of project delivery in which one entity - the design-build team - works under a single contract with the FDOT (or any owner) to fully design and construct a project.  The contract work covers from initial design through construction completion.  This contract type typically allows for faster construction of a project as design and construction can be on-going simultaneously.
