I-275 (Sunshine Skyway Bridge) Bridge Repair 450586-1-52-01

Southern Road & Bridge, LLC, on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation is performing routine bridge repairs to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay in Pinellas County. 

This project includes replacing bridge support components, cleaning and protecting existing structural elements, and repairing parts of the protective system around the bridge. This includes work on “dolphins,” which are protective barriers in the water that help shield the bridge supports from boats or other vessels. These improvements will help maintain the bridge’s safety and extend its lifespan.

Construction activities are expected to be complete in spring 2026.
