Public Meeting:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven, invites you to attend and participate in a public meeting regarding the proposed median changes along US 19 (SR 55) just north of Marine Parkway in Pasco County, Florida. The public meeting will be held in person on Thursday, June 26, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the New Port Richey Public Library, Magnolia Room, 5939 Main St, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
As part of the proposed median changes along US 19 (SR 55) just north of Marine Parkway, FDOT is proposing the following changes on SR 55:
- Removing the left turn lane just north of the US 19 (SR 55) and Marine Parkway intersection and installing a raised curb and gutter median.
- Extend the dual northbound left turn lanes onto westbound Marine Parkway at the intersection by approximately 350 feet.
The modifications will enhance safety and mobility along the corridor. Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2025.
To allow for maximum participation, the public meeting will be held in two formats, including an online option and an in-person meeting. The information presented will be identical for both formats.
